Tapping in Schools
TFT ‘tapping’ workshops can be offered to schools in Birmingham, Solihull and the wider West Midlands during twilight sessions or at INSET opportunities.

Tapping solution forums can be run in both primary and secondary mainstream and special needs settings.
Previous workshops have included:
  • promoting the discussion of improved mental health in the workplace
  • helping to reduced stigma around mental health and wellbeing
  • reinforcing the collective responsibility for wellbeing
  • providing tapping techniques which can be easily accessed by staff as an additional strategy and preventative approach for mental health.

Improve staff wellbeing by providing them with 'Tapping Toolkits'

Rapid solutions to instantly reduce anxiety and stress
Tapping techniques are a method of helping individuals feel calmer, decrease the impact of negative emotions on their day and enable them to respond to difficult feelings or situations in a self-empowered way. The techniques involve briefly ‘tapping’ with the fingers on the acupressure points located on the surface of the upper body and hands.

Evidence is mounting through scientific research that these techniques are significant and powerful tools for self-help. Data, in the form of case studies in published journals, indicate many consistent positive outcomes.

Tapping workshops for staff can:
  • help to develop a supportive school climate and ethos which creates a sense of feeling accepted; respected and ‘connected’ to the school environment
  • be included as part of frequent school stress audits which look at management of anxiety and depression
  • help staff build a greater sense of ‘control’ through access to a key stress reduction method such as ‘tapping’
  • engender increased confidence amongst staff in knowing that SLT are continuing to prioritise and routinely acknowledge the mental-health of their staff
